When you use ConnectQuest Tools, we collect: IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention; Tool usage data (which tools are used, not the queries themselves); Contact form submissions when you voluntarily provide them. We do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what you provide via the contact form.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to: Enforce rate limits and prevent abuse; Improve our tools and services; Respond to support requests; Generate anonymous usage statistics. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies: a session cookie for CSRF protection, and optionally a Google Analytics cookie if you have not opted out. We do not use advertising cookies.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Google Analytics (optional, for usage statistics); Cloudflare (for DDoS protection and caching). These services have their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

Tool usage logs are retained for 90 days for analytics purposes and then deleted. Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months. Rate limit data is cleared every 60 seconds to 1 hour depending on the limit type.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS, CSRF protection, input sanitization, and rate limiting. No security measure is 100% foolproof; use our tools accordingly.

Your Rights

You have the right to: Request deletion of any data we hold about you; Opt out of analytics by using browser settings or extensions; Contact us with any privacy concerns.
